Security guard's tragedy unfolds in Kolkata MLA hostel; Questions on security raised

The sudden death of a security guard, identified as Jaidev Gharai, in the MLA hostel of Trinamool leader Rajiv Lochan Soren has raised concerns over security measures. The body was discovered on a floor of the hostel on Saturday morning, prompting the intervention of the Park Street police station and officials from the Lalbazar Homicide Branch.

While the cause of death is yet to be confirmed, initial observations suggest a possible fall from above. The incident has stirred sensations in the area, leading to a comprehensive investigation by the police, including interviews with individuals present in the hostel during the relevant timeframe.
